ART & SOUL, SANTA BARBARA
Art & Soul reimagines the modern art gallery as a space where community, collaboration, and creativity come together. Founded by Kim McIntyre and her daughter, Bella DiBernardo, the gallery opened its doors in 2023 in the coastal Funk Zone of Santa Barbara, with a mission to showcase both established and emerging artists.
In 2025, the gallery found it's new home in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara’s ARTS District, next to the iconic Arlington Theatre. Here, thoughtfully curated exhibitions celebrate a diverse range of artistic voices, from striking coastal landscapes to bold contemporary works. Through monthly exhibits, artist talks, workshops and events, Art & Soul fosters meaningful connections between artists and collectors.
Rooted in a passion for storytelling and artistic expression, Art & Soul is dedicated to supporting local talent while bringing fresh perspectives to Santa Barbara’s art scene. More than just a gallery, Art & Soul seeks to inspire, engage, and provide the space for you to nurture your soul.
Raised in a small coastal town in Maine, Kim McIntyre developed her love for art and storytelling through formative experiences on both the East and West Coast. Her early career as a gallery owner in Portsmouth, New Hampshire deepened her connection to the art world, where she represented maritime and coastal landscape artists.
After moving to Santa Barbara, California with her daughter, McIntyre transitioned into branding and marketing before returning to her gallery roots. Inspired by summers in Maine, and with her daughter’s encouragement and vision, McIntyre launched Art & Soul’s first location in the Funk Zone in 2023, expanding to the ARTS District in 2025.

Driven by the love of art, community, and all the things they appreciate about the coastal lifestyle, this mother-daughter duo curates exhibits, organizes events, and manages all aspects of the business, strengthening their commitment to supporting local artists and giving back to their community. Art & Soul, Santa Barbara is inspired by the original Art & Soul in Ogunquit, Maine, founded by the amazingly talented artist, entrepreneur, and friend, Whitney Ott.
